The smell is absolutely horrible… I get free of perfumes and such but this was like old candle wax that once upon a time was melted and then closed up for years. I opened it rubbed it in my hands and that’s when I was like NOPE …

Hard Pass

Total disappointment. Love other YTTP products so had high hopes for this one. Has a horrid old, waxy, chemical smell. It does not come off completely with water. My face was had a waxy film on it afterwards. Just clogged my pores leading to a few breakouts. Will definitely be returning.

Not worth it at all

It smelled so bad like crayons and would not melt at all despite warming it up in my hands. It was just a waxy mess that never turned into oil or milk even with water. Didnt remove any makeup and skin turned red and itchy and felt like it was burning after trying to wash it off with a cleanser.

Rancid smell, waxy texture that doesn’t wash off

I’m so disappointed in this product… My balm smells like rancid oil and the texture remains hard and won’t wash off makeup. What in the world??!!

First, This Scent Of This Is Horrible!!! Smells Expired, An Old Tupperware, Or Used Cooking Oil! This Thing Is So Thick And Hard To Remove On The Skin. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!

This is amazing as a first cleanse to get makeup off. I notice a significant difference when I use it . A little goes a long way! Lasts awhile

The formula was waxy, smelled bad, & burned my eye

Opened this from my backstock and did not dissolve at all into a milky oil. I was very disappointed, burned my eyes when I tried to remove my Mascara and the waxy feelimg stayed on my face. I cant bear to use it anymore with the residue and burning feeling. Dissappointed.

Discontinued!?! How?? Why??

I am completely disheartened knowing this has been discontinued! Best cleaning balm around! Bring it back!!!

Cleansing Balm

I don't know why they discontinued this cleansing balm. I have tried many balms and this one so far was the best. I am deeply sad that this is no longer available. I really hope YTP comes out with soemthing similiar or better.

Odd odor

I've used the cleansing balm over the last year and a half, and love it. However the most recent pot I purchased has, as many reviews are sharing, a waxy "old" smell that is so distinct it's obvious something is off either with the formula or the way it is being packaged. I couldn't wait to use it in the past, but have barely used my new pot three times because of the smell. The texture feels more or less the same once you begin emulsifying it, though perhaps somewhat harder and less refined? Such a shame because this is such a wonderful product otherwise.

doesn’t hold a candle to the farmacy’s cleansing balm, didn’t remove my makeup all that effectively. Has a nice scent but had this other lingering scent underneath that kind of smelled like oil that’s turned, makes me think maybe the preservative in it has held up very well

Too expensive for what it is

My bottle came loose and the product smelled like old vegetable oil. The texture was hard and didn’t melt into the skin. Even after warming it up on my hands it would have ripped out my lashes before melting down my mascara. There are much better alternatives at the drugstore properly. Also left a thick film over my eyes.
