Ok. Mineral suncream has a way to go still

Still quite pasty, I mix it with my moisturizer to get it to spread more. It also irritates my eyes a little bit and sometimes leaves yellow smudges if I don't thoroughly rub it in. I do like the tone of it so it doesn't make you look super pale.

Brilliant cream, lightweight and smooth...

Brilliant cream, lightweight and smooth... My skin is quite oily, but with this cream the finish is lovely and it lasts the whole day.

My holy grail

I have lupus which makes me extremely sensitive to the sun even when indoors. My skin no longer tolerates chemical based sunscreens and has reacted to every other mineral formulation I’ve tried from other brands as they all tend to contain vitamin e or other irritating ingredients. This is the only sunscreen that not only protects me from the sun but also calms down my skin. Claims that this spf isn’t providing protection is ridiculous because I can feel the moment my spf is no longer active and I need a top up and it’s always around that four hour mark. If this sunscreen wasn’t working or actually providing a high level of spf protection, my skin would flare up in a red butterfly rash. As someone with extreme sun sensitive and an auto immune disease that flares up from mild sun exposure, I require 50+ spf, lean screen has protected me and is a non negotiable in my day to day life. It is definitely providing the spf protection it claims to as I would feel it and see my skin flare if it wasn’t. I will be a lifetime repeat purchaser, UV has changed the game in their spf formulations.

I'm not one to normally write a review but seeing the articles come out saying they don't beleive the SPF50+ claims I felt I had to speak out. As a red-head I am as pale and sun adverse as they come and it took decades of my life to find a sunscreen that a. worked and b. was a texture I actually wanted to use. Our whole household has been using this sunscreen as well as many other Ultra Violette products for 2+ years now and they are amazing. This product being one of my FAVOURITES! While I understand that if you aren't a long time use of the UV products it can be troubling to see the articles come out about the external testing done. I truely believe this product and the others by UV do meet their claims! It is due to how well they work that I have been able to reclaim the summer months and return to enjoying time outside without fear of burning. I have used this product in NZ, Australia, Asia and Europe and have not once burnt - compared to the previous brand I was using where I could burn within 20 minutes of being outside. I hope this review helps quell any uncertainity in the trust that can be given to this product and the company... and I hope the team keeps up with making great products that have honestly changed my life.

Honest Review – Deeply Disappointed and Concerned

I purchased the Lean Screen SPF 50+ Mattifying Zinc Skinscreen last week, trusting the claims that it offered high protection and met Australian SPF standards. I was extremely disappointed to read a Consumer NZ and Choice Australia report showing this product tested at an SPF of just 3–5, not the 50+ advertised. That’s not a small error — it’s a major health concern, especially here in New Zealand where UV exposure is among the harshest in the world. I used the product once before reading the article, and now I feel completely misled and unprotected. I also bought another product from the Ultra Violette range (the hydrating chemical one) and now I’m unsure whether I can trust it at all. For a premium price, I expected premium protection — but this is honestly unacceptable. I’m requesting a refund and urge others to do their own research before purchasing. Sunscreen is not just skincare — it’s safety.

This is a great high protection SPF for face. Doesn’t break me out. Mattifies and is a great alternative to CC cream in hot sunny weather

Not for those with dark and sensitive skin!

A nice formula but requires a lot of manipulation to blend into dark skin. I also have sensitive skin so the tugging with a dry product was quite irritating to the skin. I’ve been looking for the perfect mineral sunscreen to help my fight against hyperpigmentation and this one isn’t it for me :(.

Lean screen

I like this for the summer as the tint is good at covering my pigmentation. It’s not gritty like other mineral sunscreens.

Orange tint

I bought this last month and I really wanted to like it for my rosacea prone skin but the tint is just too orange for my skin tone. The texture is nice for winter but the colour makes it unwearable.

All I need!

Love this stuff! I'm on my 7th bottle now. Wears really well under makeup, and feels so nourishing on the skin that its my only step in my morning skincare routine. Will continue to repurchase!
