Clinique Happy - Eau de Parfum

Not impressed

I loved this perfume in high school. Now it smells like citrus in the top note with middle notes of metallic and base notes of rubber balloon. I wish I was joking but I’m not. I sent it back.

I absolutely love this perfume it’s for everyday use and it’s very summery

It’s a nice fragrance, not too sweet or floral but it don’t last

It was always my signature scent. I wear different things now but I do wear this every now and then and my husband loves it!

It's a nice fragrance - subtle and not too floral. But it does not last. At all. Has no staying power.

Smells like sunshine

Still my favorite scent. Love it!!! I have been wearing this perfume since my early 20’s!! (I’m 42 now) I still love it!

The best clean citrus scent. Hasn’t changed since it debuted in the late 90s and it remains a beautiful and modern scent today.

I love how it smells so fresh & fruity, airy & light! I do wish it had a stronger smell to it & it would stay on a little longer but other than that this scent is so unique i love it!

Classic

I’ve been wearing this for years and I always get compliments when I do. I try new fragrances but this is a must have in any collection. It’s my go to for life

Permanently stuck in my memory.

My mom wore this for probably a few months in the late 1990s, and ever since then, I associate it with her. I can be out in public and smell it, and I'm turning around looking for her, even though she hasn't worn it since I was a child. The scent itself is citrusy, bright, almost to the point of being plasticky. I know there are florals in it, but they get pretty lost in the grapefruit. It doesn't smell very good on me, but I keep a mini size around to smell when I miss my mom the most. I have to say, though, if this scent sticks in my mind after almost twenty years, maybe there is something special about it.

This perfume was too strong for me. If you like a flowery fruity smell this is not the one. This perfume smells like cologne to me.

A truly unique fragrance.

I love this fragrance, I've been wearing it for over 2 decades and I've never found a fragrance I like better. It's not musky, earthy, floral or sweet. It's like no other fragrance I've tried. Its bright and citrusy, the floral component isn't overwhelming and the bass notes aren't overly musky. I can't get enough of this stuff! I'm not a big fan of some of the other versions, Happy Heart or Happy in Bloom (the Mother's day version). I do love the Happy to Be version and I wish Clinique would bring that back. I miss when this was a newer fragrance and Clinique came out with Happy shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body balm, body lotion, body cream, solid fragrance crayons and my favourite....Happy scented candles. The Happy Gelato cream and Happy hand cream that Clinique has now are both good, but they only come out before Christmas and only in very small pots/tubes. For those that find that the top notes disappear too quickly, try applying to your clothing, preferably your outermost layer of clothing instead of directly to your skin and you may find that the initial scent lasts longer. The closer the fragrance is to your skin, the warmer it gets and the faster the top notes evaporate and disappear.
