Doesn't properly lather even when mixed with different amounts of water. By the time I finished the first half of face, the rest of it had dried up and I had to reapply. Also my shaving brush did not hold it very well, so I had to forego that and use my hands, but it felt like I was using a cheaper-made version of Gillette or every man jack

No Longer Feeling the Love

My husband used to love this product. The formula changed and that is no longer true. He said that any cream shave in the grocery store is just as good and that this was no longer worth it.

I bought this, trying to find a replacement for Philosophy's shaving gel. (I'm a girl, by the way!) I have extremely sensitive skin and I've had good luck with Clinique, so I decided to give it a shot. I use this on my legs, and oh man, I love it! It has a slight minty tingle to it when it's applied to the skin, but it allows for an extremely close shave. I can actually go another day before I have to shave again, which is so much more than I can ever say for a basic drugstore brand. I still have to apply lotion after I shave, but I don't blame this product--no matter what I use, I never can skip that particular step. A little goes a long way, and as a bonus, it doesn't leave a slippery reside at the bottom of the tub. Another brand I tried from Sephora did, and I almost broke my neck getting out of the shower. Overall, a great product, and well worth the price!

Okay I bought my husband this for a gift and he has been using it for a while now. He says that it is nice to use and it gets his shave pretty close but he still has to shave all the time because of how fast his facial hair grows. He said that it reminded him of like a lotion version of Noxzema. But he didn't try shaving with Noxzema to compare the two products, at least yet. He likes this product and thinks it is good, but not really better than other shave products on the market. I can say that it doesn't give him as many shave bumps as other shave creams have in the past so that is a plus. Good but not great. If you get a good shave with minimal shave bumps from normal shaving creams then don't waste you money on this stuff.

Decent Shaving Cream

I originally bought this for my husband as a cream for when I'm cutting/shaving the hair on the back of his neck with a straight razor.... he started using it for his face as well. He stated that it does work well for his face, but it seems as though he really needs to use a lot of the product compared to using a shaving gel/cream from the drugstore. He doesn't like the high cost & lack of product, when it essentially does the same thing for his face as the drugstore cream/gels...in his opinion. I like that it's clear and I can SEE this hair line as I'm shaving the back of his neck, and it also eases the glide of my straight razor. Additionally, it seems to eliminate most, if not ALL, of the irritation/redness that comes along with shaving the skin. We use this in conjunction with the after shave/balm, also by Clinique with no adverse reactions. Recommended, if you don't mind the cost and frequency with which it needs to be replaced. Would like to see Clinique produce bigger size containers of this.
