TERRIBLE. Causes tangles and rips your hair out.

This product is SO sticky- like hair spray, just as the other one star reviews warned- so after you spray it on damp hair as instructed and try to comb while drying, your hair tangles and you’ll end up ripping it out. AWFUL! I gave it 2 tries but NEVER AGAIN! I don’t know how it has such good reviews. I’ll be returning to using L’Oreal’s heat spray for flat ironing from now on.

It’s… ok? I was expecting wonders with this product as I love moroccanoil but it left my hair feeling my ends feeling a little sticky and would end up tangling

I don’t mind it, but I don’t love it because it’s a bit sticky in my hair.

The best.

It's so good, works the best. It passed the paper / straightener TikTok burn test the best out of so many tried and tested. It smells absolutely delicious and it's a must-have for me. It also lasts a really long time! No negative effect on the hair either - it still feels soft and fresh, just smells even better!

Absolutely not.

The only good thing I can say about this product is that it does help with hair shine; however, the product smells like hairspray and feels like hairspray when it’s sprayed into your hair. Leaves hair feeling very dirty after blow drying!

I love love LOVE this heat protectant! I first love it because it smells so good, has the classic Moroccan oil scent. And it also doesn’t make my hair feel or look greasy/hay like. I’ve used other heat protectants in that past that give my hair a yuck feeling. This is super lightweight and does a great job of protecting!

New favorite

Moroccan oil has been one of my favorite hair brands growing up and to now discover a new product that will help with protecting your hair over 425 degrees. The size is perfect to carry around and the smell is not strong, it’s a must have product.

I’ve been using the Moroccanoil Perfect Defense heat protectant spray for a few weeks now, and it’s definitely become a staple in my routine. I love that it’s a dry spray. I can use it on both damp and dry hair, which is perfect for my busy mornings. The scent is light and luxurious (like all Moroccanoil products), and it doesn’t leave my hair feeling sticky or weighed down. I’ve noticed a real difference in how smooth my hair looks after flat ironing, and it helps keep frizz at bay even in humidity. What really sold me is that it protects up to 450°F which is perfect for those high-heat tools I can’t part with. I also appreciate that it works well on my textured, color-treated hair without drying it out. The only downside is that it’s often sold out, so I try to stock up when I can. If you use hot tools regularly and want something lightweight but effective, this one is worth grabbing when it’s available!

Heat Styling Perfection!

I’ve always loved the Moroccanoil brand, and the Perfect Defense spray is no exception. First of all, the smell is absolutely amazing, just like all their products! I love how quickly the spray dries on my hair, making styling super easy without that wet or sticky feeling. It’s completely weightless and infused with nourishing argan oil, which is a must in my haircare routine. It protects my hair without ever feeling heavy or greasy. A total essential for heat styling!

This helped my hair with the heat and when I flat iron it ! Doesn’t make your hair feel wet or crispy after application, After one use I fell in love with the product, Definitely recommend using this !!!
