Growing on me

It needs aging, almost returned it, but then read some perfumes have to be sprayed at least 5 times, and then stored in the dark place. Initially I hated it, now I love it. That's the magic behind it. I wouldn't not recommend it to sweet frags lovers, it's sour and heavy. One spray and it lingering the entire day!

I love Magie Noir. Best perfume I have ever worn. I get so many compliments when I wear this fragrance.

Absolute trash.

My mother wore this in the 80s/90s and it was alluring and magical. It was so distinct and enchanting. I loved the smell but this formula is absolute trash. I bought a bottle in memory of my mom and it smells nothing like the original formulation. I accidentally broke the bottle on my floor and it's just a wretched scent that lingers. I'm disgusted by this current formulation.

Wonderful fragrance

Please don't discontinue this wonderful perfume. I have been using it fo over 30 years and I get asked all the time, what is that fragrance?? My nieces say it's Aunt D's perfume. It's so wonderful. Thanks.

My introduction to the fragrance

I learned of this intriguing perfume when visiting an exhibit at the MET in New York City. A woman who was visiting the same exhibit had a wonderful fragrance and I finally asked her what perfume she was wearing. She reported to me "Magie Noire" by Lancome and added that she wore it each night before she went to bed for her husband who loved it. He had died a few years ago but she said that she still uses it each night before she goes to bed. And quipped, "Now my son buys it for me each Christmas." I told her, that I had found myself following her around the exhibit because her fragrance was so alluring. Once home, I order some for myself and am not disappointed.

Horrible scent

Horrible, unbearable, and outdated scent. Very heavy.
