Instead, it leans into a modern citrus‑woody profile with a fresher, smoother style that feels more versatile than past releases. The opening is the best part: a bright mix of juicy citrus that smells realistic rather than sharp or synthetic. It’s a very “sunny” opening: clean, energetic, and immediately wearable. As it settles, a sea‑water/cypress/gin vibe comes forward, but it’s dialed back compared to older Light Blue variants. This isn’t a salty, oceanic blast. Instead, it shifts into a fruity‑aromatic mid that feels more modern and less “beachy.” The dry‑down is where the comparisons make sense. The woody base gives it that familiar modern blue‑fragrance backbone. It’s not a clone, but if you’ve smelled YSL Y EDP, you’ll recognize the vibe. This version stays more citrus‑forward and less sweet than Y, but the overlap is definitely there. Performance is solid for a citrus‑based scent. I get around 5–6 hours with moderate projection. It's enough to be noticed without being loud. It works well in heat, but the woody base makes it wearable in spring and fall too. If you’re expecting a stronger connection to Light Blue Eau Intense, this isn’t it. The DNA is faint in the dry‑down, and the marine aspect is toned way down. But if you want a clean, bright, modern citrus‑woody scent that’s easy to wear and more refined than the typical mall‑blue fragrance, this is a strong release.

YSL & Gabbana D&G take on Y

D & G light blue pour homme eau de parfum: I try to find the best in every fragrance and I will say the opening of this is very fruity which is very nice. But fades quickly. And turns into a generic Blue in the same style of YSL Y. To the extent I forgot I was wearing light blue and thought it was Y have way through the day. It is a very versatile fragrance. If you own any modern blue from YSL or Valentino. I would say you could pass on this. The masses will like this frag. But if you have a lot in your collection this might take up space, and collect dust. Occasions. To wear this fragrance : Spring / Summer daytime. This was a sample size so I can. It comment on the bottle or packaging but if it is like any other D&G is should be nice. Overall an uninspired release from D&G in my opinion.

Summer vibes

Super clean scent. Like you just jumped out the shower and then it kinda becomes more woody after the opening citrus dies down. I can’t wait to wear this as the weather starts warming up. It lasts quite long too cause it’s an eau de parfum. I have the eau de toilette already and that one lasts around 6 hours.

Good smelling cologne. Lasted for a while. The sample size is enough for one use but I would definitely buy this to where in a regular sunny day. It’ll go with the vibe
