Amazing for thick wavy hair!

I’ve been using this shampoo since May and it’s made such a difference. My hair feels incredibly soft, looks healthier, and smells amazing all day. It defines my waves without weighing them down—definitely worth it!

A miss for me

I am a huge fan of the Curl Manifesto line by Kerastase. After a recent hair appointment, I was recommended the Gloss Absolu line, as I have wavy/curly hair that is prone to frizz. This shampoo and conditioner has made my hair dry and more brittle, which I am not a fan of. Will stick with the previous Curl Manifesto line that I enjoy.

Not for me

I love the other Kerastase shampoo but this one is horrible. It has a strong men’s cologne scent and sticks for days. It actually does the opposite of what it’s suppose to do! I don’t recommend.

I was very excited but did not like

I’m not sure if I should just try another of their shampoo because this one did not work out for both my mom and I. We both have long thick straight hair and both of us started experiencing hair loss and breakage when we switched over… However, I will go ahead and do a hair evaluation and perhaps another shampoo will work for me!

Would re-purchase

My hair feels so clean after using this without feeling dry. Smells great. The product seems fairly concentrated so I lather it in my hands first before applying to my hair. I would definitely buy this again

Expensive Mistake

This leaves my hair dry and frizzier than ever. I thought it was just me and that a product so expensive had to work, but after reading these reviews, I can see I'm not the only one. I was so excited to try these, as all I want is shiny, frizz free hair, everything this promises. Sadly after buying the whole range, it looks worse now. I'm so disappointed. My hair is fine and straight with fly aways, not one bit of frizz was calmed with this product.

Re-buy for sure!!

Horrible smell!

Wanted to love the shampoo but the smell was SO STRONG. It was burning my nostrils. My brushes smelled like it, etc etc. had to return

ACTUAL WORST Kerastase Shampoo on the market

Love Kerastase, absolutely hate this shampoo. I have fine hair & a lot of it, I use most of the Genesis line on a daily basis which does the job pretty well. After the first use It looked like I hadn't showered. The product literally will not come out of my hair, it's very heavy. I wanted to love this product & I've retried the shampoo several times but it's still a miss. If you have fine hair just don't buy this shampoo. I see why a company might wanna add ingredients to make conditioner shiny but including ingredients to shampoo that are supposed to add shine should have been a warning sign from the get-go...

Would buy just for the smell

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This brand already has a reputation of being very quality. The smell is incredible and the product is aesthetically nice. I feel like the texture of the product is thick and for someone with straight hair it can weigh my hair down. However it is effective in cleaning and conditioning my hair.

Works on Afro Textured Hair

All I can say is WOW. I would like to start by saying, that in my opinion, most products that cost a lot of money are not worth it – this is the exception! In the picture I have used all four items from the Absolu Gloss line then finished off with the split end serum, also by Kerastase, on my ends. Shampoo: when I typically use shampoo, I find that I normally have to use enough to cover about half of my palm. With this shampoo, a quarter sized amount is more than enough! Even though the bottle is a typical size, I normally buy jumbo bottles with a pump, this is going to last me so long because of how little I need. It removed everything from my hair; I had previously used a lot of dry shampoo, hairspray, blowout, products, heat, protectant sprays, and more over the course of a week. The shampoo left my hair so soft and my curls more defined and bonus: It smells amazing. I will definitely be spending the money to keep using this hair care line (fyi I buy everything in life on sale - this is a first for me to be willing to pay for something regular price 😂).
