This layers really well on top of Retin-A (tretinoin) gel. I have tried so many others that pill on top but this one does not.

working in healthcare, my hands are extremely dry and sensitive. I love the thick texture and that it's hypoallergenic.

Quick fix for red, irritated skin

Bought this to soothe my skin after dermarolling and to calm the redness and irritation that I sometimes get from retinol and glycolic acid. It works great! I use it at night and in the morning the redness is gone and my skin is moisturized. I’ve started using it as a preventative measure now to strengthen my skin barrier, not just for rescue. It’s more than I like to spend, but it doesn’t take much to cover the face in a thin layer so the tube will last for a long time.

A lifesaver for harsh Canadian winters

This is a lifesaver for my dry skin. Canadian winters are so harsh and this is the first time in years that my skin hasn’t flaked, chapped, or felt tight. I also love that it’s not too thick - it melts into my skin really well.

Wow, I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do. I bought the Rhode Barrier Balm and ended up returning it because it felt heavy, greasy, and never absorbed into my skin. I got a sample of this afterward, and honestly, I thought I’d hate it too because it’s such a thick cream. I was worried it would pill when I blended it out, but it was actually soooo smooth. A tiny pea sized amount covers my entire face. It has a matte finish and doesn’t give instant hydration, but you can feel the dimethicone layer lock moisture in overnight. That’s also what makes it glide on so smoothly. My skin was super dry and breaking out, but after applying this, it immediately felt calm, soothed and soft. Such a unique balm. I think it would pair really well with active ingredients like retinol or tretinoin. Can’t wait for the sale so I can grab the full size tube.

Wasn't as hydrating as I expected and weird smell.

I purchased this. It does have an unpleasant gentle odour. I also didn't like the feeling after using it so sadly will be returning it. I love the original First Aid cream and have multiple bottles around my home and work office, so I'm not sure what happened here but it is not for me.

Got really dry skin ? Try something different

I have dry skin and some spots are so dry that i get flakes. To keep my skin moisturized i have to apply regular cream 2-3 times a day ( during the heating season 3-4 times) . Anyway , when i saw that product with all the pictures that looked like my case i thought i found my savior. But no , my skin got weird film feeling after applying the cream , that feeling will not get better unless i washed the cream off. So instead of moisturizing feeling i got completely opposite. Returned

I love this balm! It dries down so you can use it during the day or night. I actually use this as a moisturizing base for my makeup. It creates a nice thin film to soothe my skin without breaking down my foundation. Will buy again!

Soothing, softening balm - love!

Love this product!! I’ve been using it for about 2 months now, as the weather shifts to dry/cold in fall. In combo with a great, gentle exfoliator this makes my face soo soft, soothed and less red. I’m very red, with rosacea flare ups, and this has been a skin saviour.

Hydrate, texture pénètre bien et ne colle pas sur la peau. Apaise et diminue mes rougeurs, ma peau est moins rouge depuis que je l'utilise.
