Sulphate 4% - Cleanser for Body and Hair

Great results

I have been using this shampoo for a couple of months now and I am very happy with the results. It does not lather much like regular shampoo, and that may be misleading as we usually associate a thick lather with cleansing power. But it does cleanse my hair without drying it and it keeps clean for a couple of days, even in hot humid South Florida weather, so I am able to wash my hair every other day in general.

Why sulfate?!

Seriously Diceim why SLS? This is not a ‘gentle’ shampoo it’s an oil stripper.

Not good for me.

It was too drying for my hair. Washed it in same way as always but was so tangled that I couldn't run my fingers throught it.

Bigger foam, bigger bottles, please!

This shampoo is great! The only feedback I have is that it def needs to foam up a little more so it can actually get through the hair into the scalp (I have fine hair but dense), and you definitely need to sell larger bottles. The lack of foaming means I have to use quite a bit per shampoo session and with the tiny bottles?? Yah, I run out very fast.

Great for sensitive scalp

I’ve recently made the transition to fragrance free beauty products. Ive had an extremely itchy scalp my entire life and this has made it go away 95% Only 4 stars bc the bottle is so small which leads to more plastic. Ordinary please make a larger bottle or cardboard refill

Haircare staple

I have coarse, curly, mature, thinning hair under a scalp and body that can not longer tolerate fragrances. I have tried most of the Fragrance free hair options on the market as my hair routine before developing a fragrance allergy had to involve cycling the types of products I used in order to maintain my hair hydration, moisture and protein that it craves, dandruff treatments for scalp health and lighter silicone free options to keep my curls in check all while trying to combat breakage and thinning, mature hair. This shampoo and conditioner has been prefect for my curls. I don't use it every wash day as I cycle in dandruff shampoos and more moisturizing conditioners a few times a month to maintain a good balance these are wonderful for my hair I do however use them weekly. The shampoo cleans my scalp well without drying it out (as i have found most other fragrance free shampoos tend to do to my hair). When I am wanting more clarifying i am able to achieve it by washing with it twice. I am very happy with this product and it's conditioner counterpart as well. They have become a staples in my haircare routine.

Awful

This is the worst product from The Ordinary I ever had. The package is difficult to squeeze and the product left my hair dry and hoarse. Would never recommend this. I have no idea how otherwise good company can release such a bad product.

Reliable results

I have purchased the cleanser and conditioner several times before and was glad to see it back in stock. Lasts well, and does a good job on my hair. My only complaint is that the identical packaging of both products (except for small print with specific product name) is not good for anyone with poor reading vision in the shower. Suggest using a unique coloured stripe on each product, or make the name of the product larger. I have added a large "S" and "C" to each bottle with permanent marker.

Better then expected

I originally ordered the Cleanser and Conditioner for my daughter in 2023. I was looking to try something multi use and since the cleanser indicated it could be used as a body wash I thought it was practical for camping and beach days. The first time I used it on my daughter's hair I loved the result. It left it very clean, manageable and soft. So I decided to try it. For reference; We live on an Island, our weather is hot and humid almost all year around. My daughter’s hair is long with soft waves. Mine is colored treated with soft waves. I mentioned this because I know not all hair products work the same on everyone and climate also has an influence on the way hair products may work. I was very impressed... After washing my hair I blowed dried it without using any of my normal routine products to dry my hair. It left my hair and scalp feeling very clean, hair was soft and had a healthy shine. Didn’t feel weighted down or greasy. I completely feel in love. So now it is not only our camping and beach “must haves”, but we also use at home ever since.

Clarifying Fav

While I think this is much too stripping as an everyday shampoo, it's excellent as a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any silicone build up, etc. I also appreciate the rectangular bottle as it makes for easy storage. Not much else to note; it's very bare bones.

Not Like Other Shampoo

I love all of the Ordinary's productions, so I tired this and I hate it. It feels like body wash, not shampoo.
