Very Effective

I love how soothing this feels on my scalp, my scalp used to be tight and dry, but this hydrated it. My hair grew an extra inches in just 2 weeks, I also noticed new growth on my bald spots. Would have given it a 5 but the smell can really be off, but overall it’s a very good product 💯

Healthy Scalp, Happy Hair

I've been using the Olaplex Scalp Longevity Treatment for about a month now. I apply it after washing my hair, massaging it gently into my scalp, and leave it on overnight. The formula is incredibly lightweight, absorbs quickly, and never leaves behind any greasy or sticky residue. It has a clean, refreshing scent that makes the whole experience feel soothing and spa-like. After several weeks of consistent use, I’ve noticed a visible difference—my scalp feels more balanced and nourished, and my hair is softer, shinier, and much easier to manage. There’s significantly less dryness and buildup, and my overall scalp health feels improved. It’s such a simple step, but it delivers noticeable results. I believe this treatment is helping to strengthen, protect, and revitalize my hair from the root up. Product was received as part of an educational promotion.

Unfortunately not ideal for my hair

Product was received as part of an educational promotion. The Olaplex Scalp Longevity Treatment serum is, ultimately, only alright for me. I want to preface my review by saying that I have very thick, oily, minimally-damaged/dyed hair and have really bad dandruff that only reacts to ketoconazole (in which I still have minor flaking). I used this serum in a few different ways, mostly on dry hair (post-washing) and more heavily as a mask before washing. After using this serum for a few weeks, I can't say that I would repurchase this or enthusiastically use the rest. I found that, regardless of how much I used, my scalp was consistently more oily after using this product. I typically wash my hair every 3-4 days, but I began having to wash my hair every 2 days. I also did not notice a difference in my dandruff. The serum didn't make it worse, but I still had the same tiny flakes. Finally, I also didn't notice much of a difference in my overall hair health. This may be different if used for months, but I really do not think that my hair changed much beyond just being a little more oily. All of this being said, I did enjoy the consistency of the product and the packaging. The serum is very watery and absorbs quickly, while the packaging allows for the serum to be applied directly to the scalp without leaking. I also really appreciated the fact that the amount of product being dispensed was easy to control. Overall, I think this product might be better suited for damaged or dry hair and sensitive scalps.

Love it!

So for starters I have a pretty dry scalp and skin in general, I always have and this seemed like the perfect product for me to test out! I love the design of the product especially the tip to get precise application on areas you want and don’t want, there is also no scent which is good because some prefer it that way. The treatment on your scalp is so nice and soothing and cooling. I really did start to see a major difference in my scalp within days of using this product. All of a sudden my scalp looked healthier, there weren’t as many flakes laying around on my scalp or stuck in my hair anymore. Most importantly my scalp felt fresh and renewed after only using the product for about two weeks I would say! So I would absolutely refer this to anyone!

Great packaging

My favorite thing about this product is its packaging. The tip that dispenses the serum works great and allowed it to reach my scalp through my thick and wavy hair. I liked how it did not waste product and did not get messy. I divided my hair into several sections to start and then applied from there. After that, I massaged it in and let it sit to do its magic. The texture is lightweight, almost serum-like, and it absorbs quickly, without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. There’s a subtle scent, slightly herbal and clean, but nothing overpowering. It smells similar to other Olaplex products. I gave this product four stars, because it’s not the absolute best product I’ve had for dry scalp and flakes are still present. There are still many great, beneficial things about it though.

Great for Hair Growth, Not So Great for My Scalp

I'm always looking to better my hair care so this time I used the Olaplex No.5 Scalp Longevity Treatment consistently over a 28-day period, and while I was genuinely impressed by the amount of hair growth I experienced, I had a major issue with how it affected my scalp. The product promises to support scalp health, improve hydration, and create an optimal environment for hair growth but in my case, it did the opposite when it came to hydration. After just a few uses, my scalp became noticeably dry and very itchy, which made it uncomfortable to continue the routine. I kept going to give it a fair shot and yes, my hair definitely looked fuller and grew faster but the irritation made it a frustrating experience. I'm giving this 3 stars because the results were visible, but the discomfort really held it back for me. I'd love to see an updated version that actually lives up to the hydration claims. **This product was provided for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review**

Works really well, smells pretty bad

Holy crap does my hair grow quickly when I use this stuff! I usually dye my hair every 6 weeks-ish, but 3-4 weeks of 1-2X/week and it’s already time to do my hair again. The smell is awful though.

Instantly soothing!

My scalp is absolutely loving this Olaplex No.0.5 scalp longevity treatment! Made for all hair types, is great! My itchy dry scalp was instantly soothed, calmed and comfortable! My hair feels healthier and more able to grow stronger now. I plan to continue using this treatment! Definitely recommend!

This serum works well on my dry scalp. I use it 3 times per week or more if needed. The applicator is spot-on. I wish it weren't so expensive.

Ce soin pour le cuir chevelu est top ! Il rafraîchit et apaise immédiatement, surtout en cas d'irritations. Il hydrate sans graisser et rend mes cheveux plus forts et brillants. L'application est facile et le prix est correct. J'adore la sensation de fraîcheur immédiate de ce soin Olaplex. Il calme les irritations, hydrate en profondeur sans alourdir et mes cheveux sont visiblement plus forts et brillants. L'application est un jeu d'enfant grâce à l'embout précis.

Des résultats aux rendez-vous !

Je l'utilise depuis une semaine maintenant et je vois déjà les résultats sur mes cheveux. Un pakaging de bonne qualité, armé d'un embout que je trouve bien pratique pour une pose facile. Dès la première utilisation, mon cuir chevelu est apaisé et bien hydraté. Grâce à sa formule légère, il est rapidement absorbé sans laisser de résidus. Une bonne composition pour apaiser les sensations désagréables me permettant de retrouver confort et sérénité au quotidien. Ce sérum m'apporte également une solution rapide et efficace pour avoir de beaux cheveux au quotidien. Un bon moyen avant d'utiliser mon sèche-cheveux pour faire mon brushing en tout tranquillité. Un soin que je vous recommande même si son prix reste un peu élevé.
