Summer essential

To be honest, waterproof mascara is never my favorite, but it is a summer essential. This product is definitely waterproof as it claims. However, the formula is not my favorite for buildability. It doesn’t layer very well. It’s a little too liquidy overall not my favorite mascara, but it does what it’s supposed to do.

Not for me

I wasn’t a fan of this mascara. It felt clumpy, dry, and it was tricky to apply. Once I got the hang of applying it, I felt like it did give a nice lift to my lashes which is difficult to do without a lash curler, so that was impressive. But getting there took a lot of effort and there was definitely a learning curve. Generally, I am not a fan of waterproof mascaras, and this was no exception. It was so hard to remove and not in a good way. The package also advertises “48 hour wear” so I stupidly figured I’d test that feature out, and let me just tell you, DON’T! My eyelashes were so clumpy and stuck together the next day and the mascara was smeared all over making me look like a raccoon.

Waterproof, Volumizing, and Dramatic

The Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara definitely lives up to its claims. I wore this while it was raining outside and I had no black smudges underneath my eyes. The mascara has nice formula that does not clump your lashes when applying a few coats and it does provide pretty good volume. I gave this 4 stars because I wasn’t a fan of the wand and the way that it’s curved. To fully coat my lashes, it felt like the curve was causing me to push back my lashes to the point where it would touch my eye lids when I’d blink, and get a little mascara on them; but I also prefer tubing mascaras and very thin wands, so it could just be personal preference and what I’m used to. It’s a very dark shade of black which I like, makes your eyes pop for sure. I didn’t love the slippery feel of the packaging, it felt kind of cheap, but I would recommend trying this mascara to those in the market for a new volumizing, waterproof mascara, especially if you’re tried to original version of this mascara as well.

Hardcore staying power

I don’t usually use waterproof mascara, but I was pretty impressed by this one. My lashes were separated and stayed all day without any smearing or running. One downside is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to remove, even with an oil based remover.

Great Applicator

I received this product and exchange for an honest review. I really like this mascara. It adds a lot of length, but doesn’t appear to be too clumpy. The shape of the brush allows for easy and consistent application. Although this product is waterproof, I was able to take it off with a cleansing bomb. The only reason it’s not getting five stars is because I’m more of a tubing mascara person.

Clumpy but waterproof

I wanted to love this mascara, but it didn’t live up to its promises. While it applied smoothly and gave my lashes a nice lift. It left my lashes looking clumpy. It was waterproof.

Volumizing but wand picks up too much product.

This review is incentivized for my honest opinion of the product. I love the waterproof quality of the mascara. It's lengthening and volumizing. My only issue is that the wand picks up too much product. I have to use a clean spoolie to get rid of the extra and separate my lashes.

Perfect!

This worked perfectly!!! The mascara looks very natural! And only takes 1 to 2 coats for the perfect amount! It does not clump! This is also waterproof and lasted the entire day without smudging!

Great for Lashes!

I loved how this looked on my lashes! I wore it to an audition and felt it gave me good volume, and minimal clumping. I did have to put a couple of coats, but it was a great result!

Great mascara!

This Lancôme hypnose drama waterproof mascara is great! It lasted all day without transferring and I love the wand. This mascara gives a nice curl and length without clumping. I was given this mascara free from Influenster in return for my honest review.

Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Waterproof Mascara – A True

I’ve tried plenty of waterproof mascaras, but Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Waterproof is on another level. First, its waterproof performance is absolutely reliable—no smudging, no flaking, and it survives humidity, tears, and even a dip in the pool without budging. The formula is wonderfully buildable, letting me go from a soft daytime look to full, dramatic lashes without clumping. I’ve found the best results come from applying with a gentle zigzag motion from root to tip—the curved brush hugs every lash, adding volume while keeping them nicely separated. Speaking of volume, this mascara delivers a noticeable boost from the very first coat, and I love how it lifts and defines without weighing lashes down. Even after layering, my lashes still look fanned out and soft, never stiff or spidery. If you’re looking for a waterproof mascara that gives drama, volume, and perfect separation—while lasting all day—this one is worth every penny.

made lashes look really pretty

loved this mascara only problem is it made my lashes look clumpy until i seperated and brushed them out. made my lashes look really long and full afterwords! this weekend ill be trying out the waterproof part
