Decent if new to the line

Notes include coconut, lavender, woody and tropical. Very pleasant, but also a bit boring at to sometime as usues the same formula as the other born in roma fragrances which in my opinionis gettinga bit boring now. Longevity is about 6 to 7 hours, atomizer is decent. Worth picking up if your new the line or if discounted.

Really nice coconut/vanilla scent which lasts well

This is a very nice smelling scent for men. It has strong notes of coconut and vanilla which is a really nice departure from the normal woody, leathery scents. It lasted nicely throughout the day - it needed topping up in the evening before heading out for drinks but still good longevity for an aftershave. Would buy this outside of a product test.

This smells so good for a little tester I want to go buy the bottle already it has an ambery aromatic woody fragrance with a long lasting scent with a a lovely coconut finish

Sublime coconut note!

I'll start by saying I've never tried a fragrance from this brand so I had no idea what to expect, very pleasantly surprised, the longevity and projection of this fragrance is unreal, lasting on my skin all day fading to a skin scent on the 7th hour! On clothes it just keeps on going, a beautiful coconut note with a mild spiciness and a touch of lavender, I noticed that the ingredients are much more than just what the note breakdown says, this is an understated and extremely complex fragrance. Stands out in the crowd and definitely still manages to please many. Ticks all the boxes, a definite must have for any coconut or lavender lover!

Great aftershave!

I’m genuinely impressed with this perfume. Such a refreshing and sophisticated scent that stands out without being too strong. The opening is bright and clean, and it settles into a warm, elegant fragrance that lasts for hours. Overall, a gorgeous perfume that feels luxurious and definitely worth the price. Would recommend.

Ok to Wear

I can't comment on packaging as it was just a sample in a card folder. Drydown is fine but opening notes are harsh synthetic feel. Sillage is just normal and projection was disappointing. I can't smell much after 3 hours of the application. DNA of this fragrance found similar to some other perfumes so versatility is subjective.

This Valentino born in Roma is fantastic, it had a great sweet luxurious scent, which you can wear for any occasion. It’s packaging is really stylish and the scent lasts all day, I absolutely love it

I’ve been using Valentino Uomo Born in Roma – Purple Melancholia for a while now and I’m genuinely impressed. The scent opens very smoothly with a fresh yet slightly sweet touch, and then settles into a classy, elegant aroma that feels modern but not overpowering. What I really like is how versatile it is – perfect for both daytime and evening wear. It has a clean, confident vibe that works great for work, but it also feels stylish enough for nights out. The projection is well balanced: people around you notice it, but it never feels too strong or annoying. Longevity is also solid for an EDT. The fabric is great and the projection and longevity , I would recommend this product to anyone that would like to try it , I love testing and reviewing products

Not great

Very average, doesn't last long, smells sickly but nice. Not sure where you would want to wear it, reminds me of lynx deodorant . Wouldn't really recommend it.
