I have been always been an Olaplex fan. I was excited for the new formula. I do like that the treatment went on before shampoo because I feel often when I do a treatment after my hair looks oily. I felt the consistency of the treatment was almost paste like but not too thick where it was hard to apply. I felt that there was a slight burning sensation on the back of my neck after it was on for a minute or so. I left it in the full amount of time recommended but after I dried my hair with my t3 brush added my hair oil I felt I didn’t notice a difference. The product smelled good felt good but I didn’t really see a change.

Omg! After 1 use I love my hair again! I have very thick, wavy hair. It is always frizzy - especially day 1 of hair washing. I have been growing my hair after bleaching it. This is absolutely amazing! My hair is shiny and like no frizz for days. I am so happy with this product!

As a blonde, I discovered Olaplex No. 3 online, reading that it could help restore the hair structure after bleaching. And I was not disappointed. After a particularly aggressive highlighting session — the kind that leaves your hair brilliantly blonde yet dry as desert grass — I reached for this treatment. The transformation was remarkable: my hair felt whole again, soft and resilient, almost as if the coloring session had never taken place. Here's the science behind the magic: the active ingredient in this product, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, acts as a molecular bridge, reconnecting broken disulfide bonds within the hair. Whether it penetrates deep into the cortex or works primarily on the surface is still up for debate — the research is limited. But whatever is happening at the molecular level, the visible results are undeniable: hair that once felt like a dried-out shrub in the desert no longer feels stiff, and detangling it afterwards becomes noticeably easier. That said, I'd stop short of calling it a universal must-have. If your hair is seriously damaged, this extra step can make a real difference. But if your hair is in relatively good condition, adding No. 3 to your routine is probably unnecessary. The only caveat is the new formula. It's so packed with nourishing ingredients that it weighs my hair down, leaving it flat — unlike the previous version, which actually added a bit of volume. Plus, the scent: a pleasant floral, but quite strong. Even after shampooing twice, I still can’t fully wash it out.

This is not for fragile hair. My hair broke off and was dry. It was soft though.

Re discovered this brand

Using this once a week , did not expect to see a difference tbh . So far my hair has been less frizzy and just feels softer and healthier . Have been bleaching my hair for 12+ years , whatever they did with this new formula it’s so good 😍

I really didnt think I would put only 1 star but it did me dirty. My hair was so dryyyy after using it even after 3-4 times using it. For reference I have straight/wavy thin hair. Not buying it anymore

I love this product with my whole heart. If you are a blonde with overprocessed short damaged hair, this is the product that you need. Every time I use this, somebody thinks I get a haircut or they think that I’ve gotten my hair done. This allows a lot of repair without not feeling guilty about not getting a haircut every

A great addition to my shower routine

I’ve been using the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector with the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo, and it’s actually really good especially for damaged hair. The shampoo cleans well without stripping and leaves my hair feeling soft but still lightweight. The No.3 works more like a treatment that helps repair and strengthen your hair from within, and I noticed less breakage and smoother texture over time. The reformulation is awful. Hair broke off from using this. Also was flat and gross after usage. The original was a breakthrough and should not be messed with.
